Happy Easter in arrears everyone. We celebrated the renewal of life in Christ and the joy that comes with it.

So I decided I was going to make this post about wonderful well written gospel songs that I love but I got hit several with the “Not available in your country” tag.

It. Hurt. A lot.

Our country has so much bad rep it is heartwrenching. To think some people don’t think this is a serious problem because their myopic minds cannot see beyond their greed is appalling. God help us.

Anyways, for your listening pleasure, you can check out Britt Nicole’s “The Lost Get Found” album and Jamie Grace’s “God Girl” song. Wonderful gospel pieces. Thank me later.

This week it is a mix of originals; the new and not so new and a wonderful cover by the amazing Miley Cyrus.

1. Michael Kellan ft Jess Glyne – For You

Imagine you and your lover in a convertible, roof open, hands in the air, sun in your faces and smiles everywhere. The loud song in the background will be this song. The song talks about always being there for your lover through the good and bad. You may not have a convertible, but that shouldn’t stop you from singing this song to your significant other. It is a happy love song that is also great to cheer a loved one when they feel down and alone. Multipurpose. Love it.

When all the tears are rolling down your face
And it feels like yours was the only heart to break
When you come back home and all the lights are out, ooh
And you’re getting used to no one else being around

Oh, oh, I’ll be there
When you need a little love, I got a little love to share
Yeah, I’m gonna, I’m gonna, I’m gonna come through
You’ll never be alone, I’ll be there for you

2. KSHMR ft Yves V, Krewella – No Regrets

This song is about living life to the fullest, celebrating the good and accepting the bad as part of the journey and learning from them. Simply put, regrets are waste of time. The bridge and chorus are my favourite parts.

But I don’t want to sacrifice the little things
That make life worth living, life worth living
So I roll like a stone
Hands up in the air (Hey)
I don’t wanna care
And I’ll die with no regrets

3. Miley Cyrus – No Tears Left To Cry (Cover)

This acoustic cover is so beautiful. I love it so much. Not because it is one of my Ariana faves, but because Miley’s voice brought a new feel to it. The beauty in the raspiness. Oh my. Love it so much. Acoustic covers are everything by the way. Awesome job Miley.

4. Lady Donli ft Sute – Mr Creeper

Honestly if you are in a monogamous relationship with someone that always has you worrying if they are cheating or not, please leave them alone and break up. A person’s significant other is a reflection of themselves and you really don’t need an indisciplined adult who does not understand the simple rules of monogamous relationships. This song is about a lady who is worried her partner is always creeping. Good one Lady Donli and Suté.

5. Ariana Grande – One Last Time

This one is from the beautiful Ariana Grande whose Sweetner album is my favourite from her. This song is about someone who has lost a lover due to her inability to love him enough. She asks for one last moment of togetherness to relish forever. This song is for everyone still hung up on their exes.

“One last time

I need to be the one who takes you home”

6. Sia – Big Girls Cry

This is one of my favourite Sia songs. It describes greatly the feeling of being in pain and the stress of trying to appear like everything is okay. The loneliness that comes with it is often too much to bear that tears are the only form of relief.

“I may cry ruining my makeup

Wash away all the things you’ve taken

I don’t care if I don’t look pretty

Big Girls cry when their hearts are breaking”
